Stewardship is more than money,
- It is a response to the love we receive from God.
- It is how we share that love with others

Stewardship of God's love through care of one another:
A personal story
Many have used the saying “Walk a mile in the other person’s shoe” which is a reminder to practice empathy. However when you are the shoe of the other person, when an illness strikes you personally, you find out how empathetic and caring those “other” people are, you begin to really understand God’s love through the care of others.
Anne was diagnosed with breast cancer, at this time it is not life threatening just a long journey of treatments. However the outpouring of caring by hugs, cards, food, emails and just plain caring has been wonderful if not somewhat overwhelming.
As a hospital chaplain for many years I had always affirmed the caring of a community but I now know how important and significant it is. God’s love is shown and received in many different ways. It is one of the ways we as God’s people are stewards of God’s love.
